Not to be confused with low power domestic systems, the new Paralinx Arrow wireless HD transmission system gives a great usable range of over 100m* at a price-point that simply blows away the competition – The only drawback has been that the tiny transmitter has HDMI input only and requires 5V DC power through a mini-USB socket, making it very difficult to use on professional grade shoulder-mount camcorders…
Enter the new Arrow V-mount system which incorporates a regulated power supply, HD-SDI to HDMI signal conversion and male / female v-mount battery adaptors for easy mounting on most professional camcorders.
Available to pre-order now, the Arrow V-mount is scheduled to ship in October 2012 at an estimated price of £499+VAT.
*In ideal line of sight situations. Transmission range will be reduced indoors or where there are obstructions in between the transmitter and receiver.

This looks great and just what is needed to make the Arrow system user friendly. My only concern is that the Arrow unit itself looks very vulnerable to physical damage in that mount the way it sticks out like that. Would it not be better to recess it much more?
